Mick Jones and Paul Simonon re-appear here, courtesy of a well known plimsoll manufacturer (hard to get too po-faced and uppity about this piece of 'advertorial synergy', we've all owned a pair of Converse haven't we? Cue a string of comments by people saying no). Half of The Clash along with producer Diplo and Frank Ocean and the West Los Angeles Children's Choir for the Three Artists, One Song project. Dodgy arithmetic but the song, Hero, is really rather good with a lovely fade in. Free download.

Well Adam, I have never owned a pair of Converse.
Thanks for alerting me to this - I've liked most things Mick and Paul put their names to (we go back a long way!), this included.
With all the Chucks I bought since I was 15, I really think I am the one being responsible for Converse being so big now ... in fact I'm currently sitting in the office with a pair of black Slip-on's in 8.5.
Converse are the entry purchase to all the Adidas, Puma, Tiger, K-Swiss and New Balance sneakers (as I am American, I just can't bring myself to call them trainers) I have lining the floors and walls of my closets.
This track was pretty brilliant. I wonder if the seed for it goes back a ways...it certainly took me back...
Love it! Punkhiphopdoowop!
Not the comfiest shoes in the world were they.
Echorich- Round here Converse are pumps. Adidas etc are trainers. I can't use the word sneakers with a straight face.
Drew- I always seem to fall between sizes, 10 are too big, 9 too tight.
Everyone- I keep playing this. It is fucking great. Could do with being a little bit longer, a maybe a remix with the bass to the fore
