Another reader re-post request which I missed, also from back in March, this time from Nik J for this Paris Angels single. All On You (Perfume) was much loved by many, although not Ctel from the mighty (but sadly deleted by Google) Acid Ted blog.

Nope. Still don't like it. There were better tracks by far in that indie dance corner.
ReplyDeleteAnd thansk for your kind words about Acid Ted, which is quietly trying to recover all lost posts here http://acidted.wordpress.com/ gonna be a long job.
Good news about your resurrection, will have a look asap
ReplyDeleteJust to fight Paris Angel's corner and say that 'Perfume' was one of the greatest indie/dance crossover tracks ever conceived.
ReplyDeleteCannot remember if it was a Nude night or when the Shamen played the Hacienda, anyway it was at the Hacienda when I first heard that snaking 303 give way to the jangling guitar onslaught and I was hooked (of course a couple of New Yorkers probably helped the imprint) though for some reason, listening to the track some twenty years later, it feels slightly 'flat' production wise but thats probably me entering the middle-age of tone-deafness ;)
Great to hear Acid Ted is back in business, one of the more upsetting removals by Google....just discovered your blog, kinda splendid.
Thanks Saucer People, and ta for defending All On You. I love it.
