In a similar vein to yesterday's Dave Pike post and this is a beaut also. Jim Pepper was a jazz saxophonist of Native American heritage. In 1971 he released this song, based on an old Native American chant. It was later a genuine chart hit for Brewer and Shipley and in 2007 was covered by X Press 2 with that guy out of The Polyphonic Spree singing on it, remixed guitar style by Two Lone Swordsmen (one of my earliest posts).
