Sunset Rock

We got back from South Wales last night, after a nine hour trek, including three hours parked on the M6 between junctions 14 and 15 due to a crash further up. There were car loads of people standing around on the hard shoulder.

South Wales, the Carmarthen Bay area where we stayed, is beautiful. We got the weather, several lovely beaches and some amazing sunsets. Kidwelly castle, Tenby. No wifi, no 3G.

This is by Justin Robertson's 90s dance act Lionrock, pulled randomly from the hard drive.

Who needs WiFi and 3G when you have a view like that? I'm a sucker for a glorious sunset and that one is a doozy. Great shot.

I am obsessed with the idea of driving across Britain (starkerishly I checked your route using Swansea to Sale...such things are a regular part of my day, in my defense). If a 217 mile trip took you six hours...you must have driven through Atlanta at some point but, I could not find it on the map.

That is a gorgeous slab.

Good to have you back and it seems like you had a few days off. As Swede said - no one needs internet when you can stay somewhere watching the sun go down. I am addicted to as well and saw a lot of them during the last years.

Our roads tend to be quite congested Erik. Going anywhere takes longrr than it should

Down here you can fly around willy nilliy until you come up on a place like Atlanta...well Just Atlanta. There isn't a hotter mess anywhere am down here.
In Northeast it's a different story. Once you get north of like Baltimore it's a disaster and all average travel times go out the window.
