Cath Carroll's band Miaow with a magic slice of jangly indie-pop from 1987, sounding more C86 than Factory. Includes yodelling and has a wonderful period piece video too. Belle And Sebastian for one have surely heard this record.
Ah, Cath. What a treasure. Have continued to enjoy her work with Julian Henry and the Hit Parade. Thanks for posting this one. There was an excellent double-disc comp of Miaow that came out about a decade ago called When It All Comes Down. Not sure if it's still in print but worth seeking out if you don't have old vinyl copies of their work.
