The Return Of Friday Night Is Rockabilly Night 146

Has it been three weeks since the last Friday night rockabilly posting? Ok, on we go with the series that refuses to die. This is the massively influential Charlie Feathers and one of his less well-known songs, from Rare And Wild, a Charlie Feathers compilation that does what it says.

I'm buying- who wants a drink?

Good to see FNIRN back. I was wondering if you'd given up. Some good twangy guitar on this one, but the lyrics left a lot to be desired.....

Another Sagres would not go amiss.

Not a bad week. A bit disappointed in the Roddy Frame album all a bit meh apart from 3 tracks I'm afraid.

I've only listened to the first couple of songs so far. Think I'll have a red wine.

The second track Postcard is just so west coast American and bland. White Pony is a lovely song but it has been kicking about for a few years now, Forty Days Of Rain is great and Into The Sun harks back to The North Star but I'm afraid the rest of it has left no impression on me at all. It is all beautifully recorded but it's just a bit . . .
I am in two minds now whether to fork out over 30 quid a ticket for December. Which is something I never thought that I would ever do. It will be the first time he has played Glasgow since 1987 that I have not attended.
Maybe my expectations were too high!

Another gin please.

I spent a few days in Liguria last week on holiday and I've still a bottle of Ligurian white wine yet to be opened in here somewhere, if anyone's interested. This evening, for some reasons, I'm listening to Billy Joel..
