This song, as far as I know, is the most recent thing Mick Jones (and Tony James) recorded and released as Carbon/Silicon. It's a lovely, mellow tune with a smile-and-the-world-smiles-with-you kind of feel and an I'm-a-survivor kind of message. It'll make you feel good, possibly a little teary, a bit seasonal. There are Santas in the video. Good work Mick.
Much as I love The Clash and BAD, I've struggled with some of Carbon/Silicon's output. Not so 'Big Surprise' though. When this arrived 18 months ago, I thought we might be on the verge of a batch of top drawer new Mick Jones material, but since then, silence. Let's hope he has plans for 2015.

I think he wants to put his feet up to be honest. C/S's Why Do Men Fight? is top drawer.
