Rain Of Crystal Spires

Some Saturday morning indie to put a spring in your step on your way to the cornershop/barbers/wherever it is you might be going today. Put a coat mind- it's cold out there. A proper coat too, not some flimsy anorak like an 80s indie kid. Felt were archetypal 1986 indie and could make moments of perfection like this one (and fellow 1986 release Ballad Of The Band, back of the sleeve pictured above).

Layers - that's the secret. Short sleeved t-shirt, long sleeved t-shirt, button up shirt, a couple of fleeces, coat, hat and gloves. Snug as a bug.
Top tune.

what you need is a proper m65 parka, not one of these pish fashion Pretty Green or the likes. And a Paul Smith scarf of course.

Just back from the hairdressers

Tailored suit by Andre Maurice, Brooks Brothers shirt, tie by Marinella, Gucci or Armani, hand-made shoes, overcoat by Corneliani, a Missoni scarf, Tag Heuer Monaco timepiece.

I get my hair cut by my wife and my mother-in-law. Every three months (or more, if I can escape them).

Mine is (when I venture north of Florida in winter that is) an MA2 Pilot Bomber - green with faux fur collar. But when it comes to going out for a nice dinner and drinks, I'll switch to the Versace metallic garnet car coat with, yes, a Paul Smith scarf...wonderful what you can bag at a sample sale. Both worn with two black t-shirts and black jeans.
As for Felt, it may be a sunny day or a rainy day, but when Lawrence sings, it's always Spring.

I went to the barbers this morning in my fleece collar Levis denim jacket but this afternoon it's been black wool reefer jacket. It is cold out there.

Can I just say it's rather nice to hear men talk about clothes this way?!
