Brussels duo A Winged Victory For The Sullen have just announced a new album, out next year and titled Invisible Cities. The music they make is an ominous blend of dark ambient sounds, drones and neo- classical sounding choral voices. The first track, Desires Are Already Memories, is something of a siren call, these particular sirens sitting at the edge of deep, dark whirlpools and sucking you in. It's beautiful but slightly un- nerving too. The album is at Bandcamp.

They were the last gig I saw,just before lockdown (version1) They played St Luke's in Glasgow, an old church. It was a suitable place for their atmospheric sound. I'll look for forward to the new album.
Sounds like the right kind of venue to see them in Jake.
